HealthX- An award winning Website for a Healthcare Startup

HealthX is Sri Lanka's first end-to-end digital healthcare platform, connecting patients with doctors through seamless app services. The platform enables users to consult with general physicians, schedule appointments, access medical records, and receive prescriptions—all from the comfort of their homes.

Design & Inspiration

Building on the HealthX mobile app design system, I created a responsive website that extended the brand's digital ecosystem while addressing the needs of desktop users. The design maintained the calming teal and blue color palette (#17a89e and #2573d6) established in the app, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints. Poppins was used as the primary typeface for its clean, modern readability across screen sizes.

The hero section's call-to-action was inspired by Uber's location-based booking interface, allowing patients to instantly book doctors from their home with minimal friction. This simplified entry point made healthcare access feel as intuitive as ordering a ride. The website's information architecture prioritized clarity and ease of navigation, guiding users through the platform's core features: online consultations, appointment booking, health store, lab, pharmacy and pages explaining how the app functions and the story behind HealthX. The interface balanced medical professionalism with approachability, making healthcare accessible to users of all ages and digital literacy levels.

The HealthX website launched successfully in 2021, winning two awards at the Sri Lanka Best Web Awards: Best overall Website and Best Healthcare Website, recognizing both its design excellence and impact in transforming healthcare delivery in Sri Lanka.
